Thermosyphon Pot System
LPTS411
The Thermosyphon Pot System is designed to dissipate heat from mechanical seals during operation. It uses the principle of passive heat exchange, circulating fluid through natural convection without the need for a mechanical pump. Barrier or buffer fluid flows to the seal and back to the system via the Thermosyphon effect, where hotter, lower-density fluid rises while cooler, higher-density fluid sinks. Ideal for double mechanical seals, it provides effective lubrication and cooling to the seal faces, ensuring optimal seal life. The system includes an internal cooling coil to reduce the temperature of the barrier fluid returning from the seal to the Thermosyphon vessel.
